How This Works A mobile wig service is a bit different than going to a shop.  When we get your call we will ask you many questions about your hair.  We use this to determine the proper merchandise for your unique situation.  We ask about your preference in styles and colors.  We also inquire how you wear your hair now and what styles you have had, liked, or always wanted to try.  We carry several brands of wigs all of the finest quality in all price ranges.  Once we set up an appointment to come and see you we bring many wigs and catalogs for you to see and try as well as other product for your consideration. Wigs come in many colors and styles, so your possibilities are endless. Some other items we will show you are bangs to be worn with hats and scarves. We carry human hair eyebrows. These brows are very natural looking ,and can also be shaped as you would your own brows.  Care items such as wig shampoo and styling products and wig stands are also avalable. We can customize (cut) your wig if you'd like. Often wigs will need some trimming when purchased. If you have a wig you have purchased somewhere else that needs trimming, give us a call. Often times a little tweeking of the style will make the difference.   We carry two lines of hats. One was designed be a cancer surviver , who when going through treatment found wigs were not for her.  She felt the hats she found were not stylish or very functional for wearing out every day.  After recovering she designed and is manufacturing her own line of hats. They are very stylish and come in many colors. There are also different fabric weights for seasonal comfort.  Our other line is Physicians Endorsed hats that are perfect for outdoors, but can be worn indoors as well. In the fabric they have built in UV protection for outdoors.  We will bring hats out for you to consider.  When purchasing a wig for use during chemo or for complete hair loss , clients need to consider the body head lost through the head.  Many women also wear their hats to chemo so the can be more comfortable during treatment. Some women find they do not want to wear their wigs all the time, so hats are a great option. Turban Scarf To the right is a picture of the Turban Scarf.  They  come in a wide variety of colors and prints. They are a wonderful choice for both winter and summer. They are easily tied on and are designed so they will not slip around like a normal scarf can. A bang can be easily added for a more natural look. These also come is a petite size and are great for children and teens. They are also machine washable. Other accessories that we will bring are eyebrows that are made from human hair and can be shaped and re-worn again and again.  We will bring hair care products for your wig.  It is recommended that only wig products be used on your wig.  This will help ensure your wig lasts and always looks great. The vast majority of clients will have their wig the same day that we come out. If special ordering is necessary ,we can have your wig in as little as 24 hours. Many wigs will require customization (trimming) after purchase. Rest assured we do offer this service and it is done by a cosmetologist with over 20 years experience. Some clients choose to take there wig to their stylist, but many stylists are not comfortable cutting wigs. There are also times when trimming is not necessary. When it comes to customizing  each purchase is different and will by trimmed to your specification and individual needs when necessary. We will give you complete written instructions for care and styling tips for your purchase and are also always available for any questions that may arise in the future by either phone or e-mail. Recently due to the increased cost of fuel we have imposed a service fee for our convenient in home service.Expect the visit to be 1 1/2 to 2 hours long to allow for information to be given as well as trying on wigs and hats. This $30 fee will be waived upon purchase of wig if the visit is within a 15 mile round trip radius of our Linthicum, Md office. Appointments that require travel beyond 15 miles round trip from our Linthicum office will incur the service/travel charge of $30. This fee will be imposed whether or not a wig is purchased.  Please call for additional information or exact rates for your area. If customizing or re-trimming or shaving of head or missed visits requires additional visits service charge as well as for travel and time will incur. We accept most health insurance as well as most major credit cards.
